PREPARING OF PLATES
The molten metal, commonly called alloy, is poured into a wooden box made to slide on a marble bench covered by a sheet of Nomex (fireproof cloth).
The liquid alloy, leaking from the back of the box, is stretched to obtain a sheet whose width and length are equivalent to the size of the casting bench.
After about 10 minutes, the time necessary for cooling, the solidified plate is rolled.
